Kabuto managed to slip out of Itachi's Izanami's infinite loop once he accepted himself.
The fourth hokage revealed he was weak at Senjutsu and he was unable to weave signs due to the loss of his arm. Guy opens the 7th gate of shock and takes the form of a wild blue beast. Engulfed in lightning chakra Guy unleashes an attack at Madara named Hirudora the afternoon tiger.
The attack did nothing. Left vulnerable Guy is almost killed by Madara until Rock Lee rescues him.
We get a flashback of Guy being a failure as a youth bc he cannot do Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. We see a few scenes of Guy's father named Dai and we understand where Guys need to impose self-rules of discipline come from. A few grown ninjas make fun of Guy's dad, so Guy tries to beat them up. The bullies end up beating Guy up, until Kakashi steps in and beats the bullies up.
Kakashi steps in and says "I can't believe you couldn't return a single punch even after what they said about your father". The episode ends with Guy standing up and acknowledging Kakashi as a friend more than enemy.
I felt the pedi do was touching and showed how the skillful and prideful Guy wasn't always the man who he is today. Carries out the season long theme that everyone can change with determination.
