Walmart Ends Price Matching?

At first Walmart ends, Price Matcher.  That's not 100% correct.  It’s not that Walmart is getting rid of price matching, they just changed its name to “Savings Catcher.”

Savings Catcher is inside the Walmart app and compares the prices of the eligible items you bought at Walmart with the advertised prices found in the print and online versions of the weekly ads of top retailers in your area (ads must be valid at the time you made your Walmart purchase).

If Savings Catcher finds something cheaper, they’ll refund you the difference in the form of a Walmart e-gift card.

You can either print the gift card and take it into the store, or just show the cashier the app on your phone.

Savings Catcher is designed to save you money even when you do not notice it.  I got a refund from my receipt when I didn’t even know something was cheaper at a different store.

For example, I got an $0.88 refund for my Simply Orange orange juice because, while I bought it for $3.87 at Walmart, it was only $2.99 at Target.

Basically, you don’t even have to pay attention beyond scanning your receipt with the Walmart app.
