No more X-play and Attack of the Show G4

I learned from my friend that Xplay and attack of the show were cancelled.  I have to admit I never really watched attack of the show.  Despite them having a playmate on there it never really appealed to me.  She seemed like she had an attitude on the show and the type that wouldn't talk to the geeky audience that watched the show, so all well...

X-play that's show.  I hadn't watched it in a while but I grew up on it.  Sad to see it go.  They got rid of adam for that dick from the real world, and I stopped watching since then.

I heard that g4 is going to be replaced by Esquire or GQ network.  So there area of geekdom is over.  I'm shocked but not surprised. I always campaigned there was a lack of diversity on both shows, so it never appealed to me in that aspect.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dragonborn DLC

Is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dragonborn DLC finally a DLC worth your money?  This being the 3rd DLC for Skyrim that I played, and so far I haven't been impressed.

I must admit, i really got involved with this DLC.  For the first time in a while you go to Morrowind to an island named Soulstheim where you encounter the first Dragonborn named Miraak, a dragon priest.  Miraak has a deal with a daedric prince named Mora to terrorize the word and give him knowledge to put in his library of secrets.  After Miraak and Mora have a falling out, you are asked by Mora to be his new puppet and get revenge on Miraak.

It's a long journey but interesting.  You gave a new Thu'um or dragon shout and learn how to tame then ride dragons.  Other new additions to the DLC include.

New Locations:

  • Castle Karstaag
  • Raven Rock
  • Telvanni Tower
  • Miraak Temple
  • Standing Stones

New Items:

  • Spears
  • Bonemold armor
  • Chitin armor
  • Nordic armor
  • Stalhrim armor

Overall, it's a good play for those that are fans of the Skyrim game.  It's really the only DLC so far that connects the main story of Skyrim with a new playable mission.  The only disappoint I had with the DLC like most Elder Scrolls games is that the Daedric gods get to toy with you and you can't take revenge or really interact with them aside from taking orders.  Also, the DLC didn't tell you much about the Dragonborn history despite the title.  It's more of a spat btw a daedric prince and dragon priest.  The new addition like riding a dragon make it worth the download for 1600 microsoft points.  Really the only good thing about it was riding dragons, so I give Skyrim Dragonborn DLC an 8/10.  .
