Gamers spent over 1 billion hours playing Minecraft for PC last year. Microsoft tried to capitalize on the market by developing a version of Minecraft for its Xbox 360 console, the it ran into a few problems.
A version of Mincraft was release on Xbox live in May that sold 6 million units and made $120 million dollars so a disc release for those gamers that don't want to pay the gold membership fee plus the arcade download fee seems like an opportunity to make more money.
Developers pushed the released date for Minecraft to June 4, 2013.
