The Walking Dead Episode 3, my reaction

Developers finally released the third episode on the august 28th and played it.  I have to say The walking dead episode 3:long run ahead is fucking insane.

The previous episodes were controversial, but I admit the writting and direction went to untouch points i've never seen in video games.  I was shocked that teenager sold the group out, and caused so much trouble which resulted in several unavoidable deaths for major characters.  I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played the lastes episode yet but....wow, they went there.

It kinda left an empty feeling in my heart when I was done.  The characters I liked the most are all gone now, it's really just a survival scenario game now b/c all i cared about is gone.  I wonder what episode 4 is going to be about b/c i really don't give a shit about who left.

I give episode 3 and 8/10.  It took the text and point clicking aspects away and actually made you do some shooting with a rifle and movement to avoid dying, so i give designers mad points for the extra effort worth the wait.

Prey, the best $5 game ever

I was bored and brought a bunch of used games that were $5 bucks last week, and the best one was Prey developed by Human head studios.

The story focuses on a cherokee mechanic and former soldier named Domasi Tawodi (also known as "Tommy"), living on a reservation in Oklahoma.  The whole reservation gets abducted by aliens, and Tommy escapes then goes on a hunt to find his grandpa named Enisi and girlfriend named Jen. His grandpa dies early but as a ghost he teaches Tommy to use spiritual powers as well as weapons to fight the aliens with his spirit guide hawk named talon.

It sounds cheesy, but this game is hella good.  It's like the tech savvyness of Halo meets simple puzzle solving of Zelda or Portal.  You do everything from having fire fights with alien ships in space to slaughter hordes of mutants to using portals to transition to unreachable areas.  Graphics are 1st gen from 2006, but passable given the price.  I couldn't put it down.  I won't spoil the story b/c is simple but touches you in a way you have to play to experience.

All things considered, I give Prey for xbox 360 a 9/10.  It's a sleeper hit that few know about.  I saw a trailer for a sequel coming out called Prey 2, but who knows when it's going to be released.

Sleeping Dogs was a Shitty game at best

Sleeping Dogs developed by Square Enix was suppose to be the third addition to the true crime series name True Crime: Hong Kong. If you remember the True crime games then you remember how they were always stealing elements from other games but doing it horribly wrong, and this game is no different.

$40 Games Mandatory on all consoles-Revolution!

I was reading several articles about how the video game industry is doing poorly because of consecutive years of bad games by developers and poor reception by consumers.

The Walking Dead Episode 3 Game

Like everyone, I'm still waiting for the new episode of the Walking Dead episode 3 to come.  Developers said episode 3 would be released in August, but it's past the midway point and still no release in sight.  I only hope that it's not going to be like episode 2 where it was months after the expected release date.

With new games like Borderlands 2, developers getting stupid b/c there is no game out worth playing and they haven't released anything.

Difficulty in Games Changed 2012

Sorry readers, I haven't posted in a while.  ALOT of shit has went wrong in my life, so i'm finally getting a handle on it.  Well gaming is my grotto in which i can escape and get away from it all so here is a topic the gaming community has been buzzing about.  Have you ever played a game and like Modern Warfare 3 then went back to Modern Warfare 1 and felt the newest games were easier?

Organic difficulty is the factor I miss but capitalism always triumphs over loyalty. Developers are sleeping on the current/loyal fan base, and looking at a perspective that focuses on lowering the difficulty in games in order to bring in a new fan base.

I didnt notice it until I played demon souls after playing dark souls, and I was like damn im owning theses bosses like nothing. If you fought the Vanguard boss in the tutorial level of Demon Souls(1st game), then you'll notice he's similar to the Stray Demon in Dark Souls(2nd game).  That's b/c of the organic difficulty that is created as gamers get better with time.

It's sad that developers have foregoed on evolving the games in order to cater to the newbies that want to play, but they dont have the skill set to finish.  I can see from a monetary standpoint why the action is done, but in reality the purposer of some games are that they aren't meant for a particular gamer who likes a challenge. WTF?  More death of the gaming I loved.
