If you're like me, your debating which system you want to put money in. Like many americans that like hardcore gaming, Xbox is the first choice but after hearing what is in store for you as a consumer, you might want to see what the PS4 will offer once you read how greedy Microsoft is getting.
According to Forbes.com "Gamers were worried about used game restrictions, online requirements, and privacy issues. It confirmed that the console will need to be connected to the internet once every 24 hours in order to function, making life very difficult for gamers with an unstable internet connection, and near-impossible for most soldiers. There will be restrictions on how you can loan games, and while you can still give games to your friends, each game can only be given once.
Used games can be sold at retail stores only with the publisher’s permission.
We also learned that you can share games with your Xbox “family” of up to ten people, which is actually kind of cool. We also learned that the Kinect camera can be turned off, so it’s not as creepy as it could have been."
So basically, Microsoft has confirmed that it will not allow used games, a limit on game sharing and you cannot play games without an internet connect to its exclusive Xbox live internet membership.
That's going to kill the game rental industry like gamefly and red box. Also, may affect being able to buy games online like amazon if it doesn't come from the publisher. Also, no offline play. Wow! Playstation 4 is going to clean up off Xbox greed.
