Capcom announced that Dead Rising 3 is not a rumor and has a game ready for gamers. Dead rising 3 will take place 10 years after the events of dead rising 2.
Dead Rising 3 follows new protagonist Nick Ramos and his attempt to survive a massive zombie outbreak in the fictional city of Los Perdidos, California. Unlike previous Dead Rising installments, which took place in a relatively contained mall setting, Dead Rising 3 is set in a vast, open world city environment which is reportedly larger than the worlds of dead rising 1 & 2 combined.
Similar to Dead Rising 2, players will have the ability to craft and customize weapons. Driving vehicles will be "a critical part of exploration" as players travel around Los Perdidos and scavenge for items. Dead Rising 3 will also utilize the Xbox Smartglass, allowing players to call in air strikes on hordes of zombies.
Capcom hasn't named an official release date, but plans for a late fall 2013 launch.
