The Vita will allow users to access their PSN account anywhere they like, making use of its PlayStation Store and Qriocity music services.
The Vita comes with two joysticks, multitouch 5-inch OLED screen, front and rear touchpads, and front and rear cameras for augmented reality.
Playstation made a conscious effort to make content for the Vita loaded wih unique games as a pose to just importing a bunch of games.
The Vita will use the web, social networks, plays movies, Wi-fi, 3D capabilities. It makes use of crossplay where their is online play between multi platforms. Playstation isn't worried about capitalization. It's not worried with just its core, it's trying to expand its appeal to a broader audience.
It will appeal to the masses with a price tag of $249 for Wi-Fi model and $299 for the Wi-Fi 3G model. It has many social features that take advantage of the wi-fi and 3g capabilities, so you can play on the go.
One of the biggest first party exclusive games for Vita on its game library is Uncharted 3.
More will be revealed as the Vita marketing team puts the final touches on the product.
Expect a release date in 2012.
