Mass Effect 2: The Arrival Review

A lot of hype surrounded Mass Effect 2 lastest Downloadable Content (DLC), "The Arrival."  The major reason this DLC is different from any other DLC is that it fills in the holes left at the end of Mass Effect 2, and it details the player on the revelations leading to the calamity that will unfold in the highly anticipated sequel Mass Effect 3 due to be released the 1st quarter of 2012.

In "the Arrival', Admiral Hackett quest Commander Shepard to run a solo covert mission to find Alliance operative Dr. Amanda Kenson, who has been captured by Batarians while on a secret mission in Batarian space. Your objective aside from the rescue is to uncover clues and evidence that will foreshadow the invasion of Earth by the Reapers!

I won't spoil the storyline, but you're definitely in for a few red herrings on your way to completion.  There wasn't anything new: no new weapons, vehicles or gameplay concepts. You won't see or battle a Reaper either.  I give "The Arrival DLC" a 6/10 because you don't get your money worth here. I'm a fan of the fanchise, but the developers really underwhelmed me on this one.
