There were hundreds of games that came out this year with the hype of being the can't missing game of the year or innovative, but few games lived up to expectations. These Top 5 games made the list because you get what you paid for, and none are a waste of the investment in a tough economy.
1. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It's a never ending game. Loaded 1000s of missions including a mainstory that will keep you busy for weeks. It's by far the best game of the year.
2. Batman Arkham City. A good second choice. Filled with all your favorite villians and gadgets, this is by far the best game of the Batman franchise.
3. Legend of Zelda:Skyward Sword. The final game for the Wii in most gamers opinion. It is a true ode to the franchise and a good addition to the collection for younger audiences.
4. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. It's a cinematic experience to say the least. Filled with a good storyline, and action that will have you going from beginning to the end as well as great online mutiplayer incentives.
5. Battlefield 3. It impressed me. I felt it is a darkhorse pick at 5, but it has a few features that one up it compared to MW3. It's worth a play.
